Girls in Tech: NDG Students Compete in Robotics Challenge

Three brilliant girls from Niños de Guatemala recently stepped into the world of technology. For the first time, our students competed in the national 1Bot Robotics Competition—and they did it with pride and determination.

The competition took place on a bright morning filled with excitement. Teams from different schools across the country gathered to show their programming and robotics skills. Our NDG team, made up of sixth graders, tackled multiple phases and challenges. Each task tested their creativity, teamwork, and knowledge of robotics.

Madeline, one of the participants, shared her joy. “I am grateful to God and to my teacher for letting me participate and work with my friends,” she said with a smile.

This event wasn’t just about building robots. It was about building confidence. It gave our students a chance to step outside the classroom and into a world full of innovation. They learned, they laughed, and they grew.

This experience shows what we mean by holistic education at NDG. We aim to prepare our students not only academically, but also with the real-life skills they need to succeed in the future. From robotics to emotional intelligence, we believe in giving them every tool to thrive.

We’re so proud of the girls who represented our schools with courage and heart. Their participation proves that with the right support, our students can achieve anything.

But none of this would be possible without you.

Your support helps us continue to create opportunities like this. A small donation today can open big doors for tomorrow. Be part of their story—donate now and help shape the future.
